Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler
Good books are good books. And, this is a good book.
"Don't worry, Anna. I'll tell her, okay? Just let me think about the best way to do it."
"Promise me? Promise you won't say anything?"
"Don't worry." I laughed. "It's our secret, right?"
According to her best friend Frankie, twenty days in ZanzibarBay is the perfect opportunity to have a summer fling, and if they meet one boy ever day, there's a pretty good chance Anna will find her first summer romance. Anna lightheartedly agrees to the game, but there's something she hasn't told Frankie---she's already had that kind of romance, and it was with Frankie's older brother, Matt, just before his tragic death one year ago.
This is Sarah Ockler's debut book. It could not be more wonderful. I'd have to say it is one of my favorite books of 2009. Sarah did an awesome job writing this book. I couldn't stop reading. It was honest and engaging. This is a novel that everybody should read.
I don't really know how to describe my love for this book without sounding fangirly. But it was amazing. You should all read it. Sarah, besides being an awesome author. Is a really awesome person.
The characters were very well written, and the different emotions in the books were conveyed in a very nice fashion. Some books when you read them you know that they are great, and with some books it takes awhile. Within reading the first few pages, I knew this books was going to be awesome.
